So, I know I sounded quite agitated after the game on Sunday. I do apologize. We played well against a good team. We're going to continue with the different receiver sets, however we're going to approach things a bit differently in how we set them up. Our game this Sunday is at 8:30 PM at the dome. I still have not received payment from a few of you guys for the league fees, which were in addition to your South Suburban player fees. Thank you to those that have paid me, but again, there's a few that haven't. I also want to thank the folks that have brought friends to help our roster out. If you could do me a favor and talk with me first about someone you'd like to bring, as it completely throws off all the planning I've done for a game. Having bodies out there helps, I just need to expect it. I had some extra guys out this past weekend, and then four guys brought friends, and we had almost 20 guys, leading to a breakdown in communication. Just run it by me first. Again, gentleman, our game is at 8:30 this weekend, see you all there!
So, there's really not much to say about our game Sunday night. There is no single person or action that is responsible for the result of Sunday night, but rather a collection of sloppy play including but not limited to dropped passes, picks, and blown coverage. Hell, even I'll admit I played like shit. Let's put this game behind us, and look ahead to the game we have next week.
We are scheduled to play Challenger's Bar on Sunday night at 7:45 pm. I know a lot of the players on this team pretty well, and I would love to make a hell of a showing with them. Nothing like we exhibited the other night. In order to do what we need to do to show Challenger's what we've got, we need some time together as a team, outside of a game situation, and work on chemistry. Yes, that means a practice. We obviously need to make sure with all of the new additions to the team this season, that we're all on the same page in regards to both offense and defense. WE WILL HAVE A PRACTICE ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT 4PM, BEFORE OUR GAME TO BE HELD AT ARAPAHOE COUNTY COMMUNITY PARK, LOCATED AT 7900 S. POTOMAC ST. CENTENNIAL, 80012. There is a map below of the area. This park was chosen as it is near where we will be playing Sunday night. Don't worry, it will be a light practice, I just want to work on timing and chemistry on both offense and defense. We have some new additions to the team that I'd like to get on the same page as the rest of the team. I will be contacting you all this week to get your email addresses if I don't have them, so I can send you guys our playbooks for offense and defense, as well as the positions that everyone will be in on both sides of the ball. To clarify that, I will be arranging multiple sets of recievers with Tony and Jon's assistance, so we can keep fresh legs in the wide receiver corps, with as many people as we have playing both sides of the ball. If you don't communicate via email, I will figure out a way to make sure you get a copy of our offensive and defensive plays. I CANNOT STRESS THIS PART ENOUGH. PLAYING ON OUR TEAM COSTS MONEY. I FRONTED THE MONEY TO COVER OUR LEAGUE FEES, BUT NEED TO BE REIMBURSED. MOST OF YOU HAVE GIVEN ME $20 FOR YOUR SHARE OF THE TEAM FEES, BUT THERE'S A HANDFUL OF GUYS THAT NEED TO PONY UP. Again, we're not going to dwell on what we did wrong on Sunday against the Free Agents. We need to focus on the games that we have ahead, namely Challenger's Bar. |
