Fall season is already underway. Hyland Hills gave us a first week bye so that we could play in last week's tournament. Due to that, we have a double header this Sunday beginning at 8 am. Arrive early to warm up and be ready to play by 8. Again, I want to thank you all for a great summer season, capped off with a championship! Let's keep this momentum going into this fall session. We will be facing some legit teams that are going to put up more of a fight, so be prepared to play hard. I also want to make sure the defense all arrives early, as we have some new stuff to go over. Those that have played with us for a while know that we have additional defensive schemes. We are now going to implement different schemes more often, so we'll need time to go over them. Please, please, please arrive early enough to go over this stuff. See you all bright and early this Sunday. BRING ME YOUR LEAGUE FEES THIS SUNDAY IF YOU HAVEN'T PAID THEM ALREADY.

What a season, guys! Not only am I glad that we won the Championship Game, but I'm doubly glad that we also stuck it to Deep Throw It. It appears as though we figured out how to defend against their formation. I'm also glad that they went for two. Greed is a mothertrucker. I want to thank each and every one of you guys. You each made a huge impact on this season, and I couldn't be happier with the group of guys we've done this with. Good job this season. Check back later this week for information regarding fall, ball if you're playing.
I have added a page to this website for the schedule and scores for our upcoming fall league. We begin the new fall season with a wicked early doubleheader. Be prepared. I need to know, if you haven't already informed me, if you're coming back for fall ball. If so, I will also need to collect $35 from you by this weekend, no exceptions!
Please scroll down to the previous post for this weekend's tournament information! Don't let this weekend's loss get you down. We had some missteps on Sunday that cost us, but it was a group effort and not just one player to blame. (although I will take responsibility for blown coverage a time or two) We still finished the season with a better record than we have since Mayhem started. I am proud that this team has performed the way that it has this summer. I couldn't be more excited about this group of guys and they way you've all performed this summer. Let's keep it going through the tournament. Shake off this loss. We will have anywhere from 2 - 3 games to play this coming Sunday, depending on how many teams buy their way in this week. I will post any tournament information as soon as it's made available to me by Foothills.
On another IMPORTANT note, I absolutely need whoever is returning for fall football to get me their $35 this week. I cannot afford to cover the team fees that will be due PRIOR to our first game. I will need that before we see each other this weekend. If you do not contact me by Thursday, I will get in touch with you to arrange payment this week. Good effort this weekend guys. I'll see you on Sunday. So one more game left in this regular season. I want to first thank everyone for a hell of a season. It feels great to sit atop the standings undefeated. This week is a big game for us. Although we are guaranteed a spot in the tournament, I would like to go in there as the number one seed. Let's stay focused this weekend, not get ahead of ourselves, and do what we've been doing all season long. Our game is at 11 am, arrive early.
On another note, it's time for everyone to let me know what's up for this fall. I've spoken with about half of you guys, but I need to know what the other half is doing. I also need to collect money to pay Hyland Hills by this weekend. I will be calling everyone by Friday afternoon that hasn't followed up with me regarding their return for the fall. I cannot cover the fees for fall ball by myself. I need to collect. What a weekend! I'm glad to see that we were able to pull off a pair of wins. Very excited to finally have beaten The Unknown, aka The G-Men. What a hard fought and well deserved win. The second game was a little more stressful and had a tighter score. We should have definitely beaten D12 by way more points than we did. It could all be from a number of factors like being wicked tired from the first game or whatever. Nice job this week guys, I'm happy to see Mayhem at the top of the standings, undefeated. Let's stay focused, and keep this momentum going throughout the tournament.
On another note, it's time to begin talking about what everyone wants to do next. I, along with some other team members, feel that we should be challenging ourselves more. By that, I mean we need to play better teams than we have been. We have a few options, which I've laid out below with their details. I will go over this with everyone this weekend as well. Please, any feedback is welcome! Foothills (current league) Sunday Mornings Rec teams possibly mixed in with a comp team or two Highlands Ranch Parks and Rec Sunday Mornings Rec league, Comp league (not sure of details) Globall Flag Football League (most challenging, best teams in Colorado) Sunday Mornings Comp league (preferred) Possibly rec league Only spot available is the Pro (Comp) league |
