So, we have arrived at the final week of the regular season. I am happy to say that I truly believe that we are coming together as a team quite well. We came out victorious last Sunday against a team that beat us last year. Our game tomorrow, Sunday the 25th, starts at 11. Arrive at least 40 minutes early, as we may have some last minute position changes that will affect everyone, and I want everyone to be warmed up and comfortable with where they're at. There is the slight chance that Foothills may postpone this game again due to weather tomorrow, but I doubt it. I will keep you all informed as soon as I have information about it. In regards to the Foothills Fall Tournament, it looks as though we will not be one of the top four seeds to make it in. We will more than likely have to pay our way in. If you're interested in playing in the tournament, let me know this weekend. I can cover the fee to get us in, but I am not going to pay for half the team like I did last Summer. Everyone should chip in $5, and whatever is left over, we will get a plaque for our Buffalo Wild Wings showing them the gratitude for helping us out these past two seasons.
On to new business. I believe we have decided to proceed with the South Suburban league that plays at Arapahoe Road and Peoria in Centennial. South Suburban's league does start November 8, so we would not get any sort of break from the Foothills tournament to this league. This deadline is rapidly approaching. This brings to light a couple of points that you should all be aware of. This league has the same league fees as Foothills, but also has individual player fees of $24. We have a meeting with a potential sponsor on Monday afternoon regarding getting some or all of this taken care of. I just want everyone to know what our options may be. If we do get a sponsor to cover our team fee, we will only have to pay about $24. If we do not get a sponsor, we are looking at paying a total of around $60-$65 to play. I'm not sure how everyone feels about that, but I personally would pay it because we'll be playing twice as many games as we have been. The league plays on Sunday nights, anytime between 6pm-11pm. I will keep everyone informed this week as to how the sponsor meeting goes. If we do get our sponsor, everyone will have to man up and do one of two things each week. We will have to probably spend a certain amount of money at their establishment by the end of the season. So, you will have to either show up after a game and have a couple beers, or if you can't make it, send the team off with a couple of bucks to throw down on a pitcher or something like that. This stuff doesn't come without any strings attached. Again, as soon as we have this information, we will let you know. Unfortunately, this indoor winter league starts up here pretty soon, so everyone needs to let me know what they want to do ASAP.
